Still Motion - Hand is a series of sculptures investigating the possibilities of time-based sculpture. With the use of cameras, computer vision algorithms, and 3d printing, this series creates solid representations of the body's motion over time, rendering a fleeting gesture as a physical object. The result is a sort of long exposure sculpture of various limbs' gestures and movements.
This piece was made with software produced by the Interactive Fabrication Group at the Comptational Design Lab.
